(IDEX Online) - India's gross exports of polished diamonds were $2.01bn in June, a dollar rise of 2.25 per cent on the same month last year.
The figure for the three months from April to June was $6.27bn, a dollar increase of 1.09 per cent.
Overall gross exports of all gems and jewlery were $3.2bn in June, a year-on-year dollar rise of 14.5 per cent, as India reaped the benefits of its Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with UAE.
Colin Shah (pictured), chairman of the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC said): "Plain gold jewelry exports have been the immediate beneficiary of the India-UAE CEPA.
